I’m trying to buy 1–2 uniforms that are actually worth the money, not just “cool looking.” I do a mix of range days, hiking/field training weekends, and occasional airsoft, so I want something durable, comfortable in mixed weather, and easy to replace if it gets trashed.
Budget-wise I’m not chasing high-end boutique stuff, but I also don’t want the cheapest set that rips at the knees. I’m seeing tons of options: surplus OCP/Multicam-style, old BDU patterns, newer ripstop “tactical” uniforms, and even some brand-name combat sets that cost a lot.
What uniforms give the best value for money right now (surplus or commercial)? Any specific fabric blends, features (knee pad slots, stretch panels), or patterns you think are the sweet spot? Also curious what holds up after lots of washes and crawling around.
