Which special forces unit has the highest standards?

I keep seeing people argue online that one unit is “the hardest” or has “the highest standards” (SEALs vs SAS vs Delta vs Spetsnaz, etc.). I’m not in the military—just trying to learn in a serious way. Is there any fair way to compare standards across special forces units when the missions, pipelines, and secrecy are all different? I’m especially curious how people weigh selection attrition, training length, skill breadth (language, intelligence work, CQB, recon), and real-world performance. If you had to answer the question “which special forces unit has the highest standards,” how would you do it without just doing fanboy takes?

One more angle: standards are starting to include human-machine teaming competence. Units that can integrate ground robots for reconnaissance, use autonomous sensors, and manage data/security in the field are quietly raising the bar.

It’s not sci-fi exoskeleton stuff for most operators yet, but the robotics “standard” is already here in practical ways: deploying small UGVs, countering enemy robots, battery/power logistics, and maintaining mission security while using networked systems.

So if you ask “highest standards” looking forward, I’d bet on units that rapidly adapt training to robotics/UAS realities while still preserving the timeless standards: discipline, judgment, and small-team leadership.
