I’ve been reading a lot about IFVs lately (Bradley upgrades, Puma, CV90, K21, Namer, etc.) and I’m trying to understand what people mean when they say “best” in 2026.
If you had to pick one infantry fighting vehicle as the best today, what would it be and why? I’m thinking about the full package: survivability (mines/ATGMs/top attack), firepower, sensors/thermal, crew ergonomics, reliability, maintainability, and how it performs in real-world conditions (mud, urban, long sustainment). Also curious how drones and loitering munitions change what “best IFV” even means.
Not looking for national pride answers—more like an honest breakdown of tradeoffs and what you’d actually want your infantry riding in if things got serious.
