I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on military vehicles lately (tanks, IFVs, APCs, MRAPs, and just basic tactical trucks) and I keep seeing people argue past each other. Some say “Germany” because engineering, others say “USA” because of logistics and upgrades, others say “Russia” because simplicity, and then you’ve got Israel, Sweden, South Korea, etc.
I’m not asking who has the biggest defense budget. I’m asking: which country actually builds the best military vehicles overall—meaning combat performance, reliability, maintainability, crew survivability, and how well the design matches modern doctrine. If your answer depends on the vehicle type (tank vs. truck vs. IFV), I’m open to that too. Curious what you all think and why.
