I’ve been reading a lot about urban warfare and city defense (mostly modern conflicts, but also some WWII stuff), and I’m trying to understand this from a practical angle.
If you had to defend a medium-sized city (mixed suburbs + dense downtown), what vehicle would actually be the best overall choice? I’m not asking from a “one tank wins” video-game mindset. I’m thinking about things like narrow streets, ambush risk, civilians, keeping supply routes open, and being able to respond fast across different neighborhoods.
Assume the defender has limited numbers and needs something that can survive, support infantry, and keep operating in an urban environment without getting trapped or chewed up. What would you pick and why?
