My partner is active duty and we’re trying to get ahead of things before the next PCS and possible deployment. We’re not in crisis, but the constant moving, childcare planning, and figuring out what’s actually available (and what’s just rumor) is stressful. I keep hearing “the base has resources” but nobody can list them clearly.
What support programs exist for military families (US-focused is fine, but I’m open to general ideas too)? I’m especially looking for stuff around spouse employment, childcare, counseling/mental health support, financial planning, and help during deployments. If there are good starting points or offices to contact first, that would help a lot.
