I’m putting together a personal training roadmap and I’m trying to separate “cool stuff to know” from the real baseline skills that actually keep teams effective in the field. I’m not in a unit (yet), but I’m serious about preparing for a selection pipeline and I don’t want to waste time chasing gimmicks.
If you had to list the skills every operator should master—regardless of unit, country, or mission set—what makes the cut? I’m thinking beyond shooting: comms, navigation, fitness, mindset, team work, planning, etc. Also curious what people consider the most commonly neglected fundamentals.
Not asking for anything classified or step-by-step “how to” for violence—more like a priorities list and what “good” looks like.
