I’m trying to buy a pair of gloves for range days and general outdoor use (some hiking, some light work around the garage). I’ve owned cheap mechanics-style gloves and bulky winter gloves, and both had issues: either they tore fast or I couldn’t feel anything when manipulating small stuff like mags, zippers, or a phone.
I’m not looking for “the best glove ever,” just trying to avoid dumb mistakes. What do people usually get wrong when choosing tactical/field gloves? Sizing? Materials? Expecting one glove to do everything? Any red flags I should watch for before buying?
