I’m trying to learn which gloves are actually associated with certain military units (not just what influencers wear). I keep seeing the same models pop up—Mechanix, Nomex flight gloves, cold weather mitts, leather work gloves—and people claim “that’s what X unit uses.”
I’m not asking for anything sensitive, just the general, public/typical associations: like “tank crews often wear ___ because of ___” or “naval boarding teams often prefer ___.” If there are famous historical examples (WWII/Cold War) or current common-issue patterns that would be awesome too. What units are genuinely known for specific gloves, and why?
