I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on modern conflicts and how fast tech is shifting the battlefield. We keep hearing about hypersonics, AI drones, laser defenses, cyber, quantum sensors, exoskeletons, etc., but most of it seems limited by reliability, power, cost, or countermeasures.
So I’m curious: if ONE military technology could be “perfected” (meaning it actually works consistently at scale, is deployable, and the big limitations are solved), which would most change warfare and why?
I’m not asking what’s coolest on paper—I mean what would really reshape doctrine, deterrence, and how wars are fought. Also interested in what the likely counters would be, because it feels like every advantage gets a response within a few years.
