I’m looking at military career options and I keep hearing “naval operations,” but I’m not sure what jobs actually count. I’m not only thinking about being on a ship—more like anything that supports maritime missions (ports, submarines, aircraft, intel, etc.).
I’m trying to build a shortlist of roles to research: what the day-to-day looks like, whether it’s mostly sea time vs shore time, and what kind of training pipeline is typical. If you’ve served or work around naval units, what jobs are most directly involved in naval operations and why?
