What military jobs are ideal for computer enthusiasts?

I’m a big computer guy (PC building, basic scripting, home networking, some Linux) and I’m considering the military but I don’t want to end up in a job that has nothing to do with tech. I’m not trying to “hack” anything—more like I enjoy troubleshooting, systems, and learning new tools.

What military jobs are actually a good fit for computer enthusiasts, and what’s day-to-day like? I’m open to different branches and I’m also curious which roles translate best to civilian work later (IT, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, etc.). Any reality checks on training, clearances, or how competitive these jobs are would help.

Just be aware: aviation maintenance can be shift work, high standards, and lots of procedural discipline. Great for people who like troubleshooting and precise technical work.
