I’ve been reading and watching a lot of selection documentaries and podcasts lately (BUD/S, SAS, SFAS, etc.), and I keep seeing people claim “this is the hardest in the world.” I’m not trying to start a fanboy war—just genuinely curious how people who’ve studied this stuff compare selection courses across countries.
When you factor in things like duration, sleep deprivation, navigation, water confidence, psychological screening, injury rates, and the whole “unknown standard” vibe, what do you think is the toughest special forces selection course in the world? And do you separate “selection” from the full pipeline (like selection + qualification course), or lump it together?
Not looking for operational details—just big picture comparisons and what makes one selection uniquely brutal vs another.
