I’m putting together a small “grab-and-go” ration stash for weekend range days, hiking, and the occasional storm kit. I keep seeing the same brands hyped as “the best” on YouTube and gear sites, but some of them feel like expensive marketing with average food inside.
So what do you think is the most overrated rations on the market right now (MRE-style, freeze-dried meal kits, survival bars, all of it)? I’m not trying to start a brand war—just looking for honest pros/cons: taste, calories, sodium, how they sit in your stomach, packaging bulk, heater reliability, and whether you’d actually buy them again with your own money.
