I’ve been following modern procurement and it feels like the last 10 years brought more “step change” than just incremental upgrades. But I can’t decide what counts as the most innovative military vehicle: a new IFV like the Puma, a modernized tank, an MRAP evolution, or something that blurs the line between vehicle and unmanned system.
I’m not asking “best in combat overall,” more like: what platform changed how armies operate (survivability, sensors, networking, crew workload, autonomy, logistics, etc.)? Also curious if you think the real innovation is in the vehicle itself or in the ecosystem (datalinks, loitering munitions, remote weapon stations, APS).
What’s your pick for the most innovative military vehicle of the last decade, and why?
