I’m rebuilding my field kit and the belt is the one thing I keep second-guessing. I need a tactical belt for actual military-style use (range days, classes, and general field work), not just “EDC fashion.”
I’ve run a cheap 1.75" nylon belt for a while and it twists under weight when I add a holster + 2 mags + IFAK. I’m looking at both two-piece “inner/outer” belt systems and rigger-style belts, but I’m not sure what’s best if you’re carrying real loads for hours.
Priorities: stays rigid, doesn’t slip, comfortable under a plate carrier, works with standard MOLLE/pouches, and can handle being wet/muddy without falling apart. Also curious about buckle styles (Cobra vs other options) and whether Velcro inner belts are worth it.
What belts have actually held up for you, and what setup (inner/outer vs single belt) makes the most sense for military use?
