I’m trying to figure out what the best boots for military use are. I’m not active duty, but I do a lot of long rucks, range days, and training weekends with mixed terrain (gravel roads, mud, some urban). My current boots are fine for short stuff but start killing my feet after a few hours and the soles wear fast.
I’m looking for something that holds up, has good traction, and won’t destroy my feet on long walks. I’m also confused about “hot weather” vs “temperate” vs “winter” combat boots, and whether lightweight boots actually last. If you’ve got recommendations, I’d love to know what you’d pick for general military-style use and what to avoid.
