I’m looking at joining the military in the next 6–12 months (still deciding branch). I’m not out of shape, but I’m not a gym monster either. I can run a couple miles, do some push-ups, but I don’t know what the actual entry-level fitness standards are.
What tests do you have to pass to enlist, and are the standards the same across branches and jobs? I keep seeing different numbers online for push-ups, sit-ups, run times, and I’m also confused about height/weight vs body fat checks. I’m not asking for secret stuff—just what a typical applicant should be able to do and what recruiters actually look for before shipping out.
