I’m trying to buy one “buy once, cry once” flashlight that I can trust for years. I’m not looking for the brightest marketing number; I care more about reliability, durability, consistent output, and not dying at a bad time.
Use case: range days, camping, occasional vehicle kit, and general emergency use around the house. I’d prefer something that can take drops, rain, and being tossed in a bag. If it matters, I’m fine with either AA/CR123 or rechargeable, but I don’t want a weird battery that’s hard to find.
So in your experience, what brands make the most reliable flashlights? Any specific models you’d actually bet on for hard use?
