I’m trying to buy one backpack that I won’t regret. I’m not active-duty, but I do a lot of weekend range days, rucks, and some hiking/camping trips where the pack gets dragged on gravel, tossed in a truck, and generally abused. I’m looking for reliability first (stitching, zippers, frame/suspension, fabric, warranty that actually helps), not just a cool tactical look.
Use case: 20–40 lb most of the time, sometimes heavier for a ruck workout. I’d like something around 30–45L that can handle rain and mud, and doesn’t fall apart at stress points. I’m open to military-style packs or quality outdoor brands.
So—what brands make the most reliable backpacks in your experience, and what models are worth the money?
