I’m looking for honest, real-world experiences with combat shirts (not marketing copy). I’ve worn basic moisture-wicking tees under a plate carrier, but I’m debating switching to a true combat shirt for range days and longer training weekends.
My questions: How do they hold up under plates/ruck straps? Do the sleeves/shoulders actually add durability or do they just trap heat? Any issues with snagging, pilling, collar rubbing, or the torso fabric riding up? Also curious if they’re worth it for mixed conditions (cool morning, hot afternoon) and if you size them tight like a base layer or a bit looser.
If you’ve used them in the field, training, or just hard use, I’d love to hear what worked, what failed, and what you’d buy again.
