I’m looking at enlisting within the next year and I’m trying to be smart about picking an MOS/rate that’s actually in demand right now (and ideally useful after I get out). I’m not dead set on combat arms—open to tech, aviation, engineering, intel, logistics, anything.
What are the most in-demand military jobs today across the branches? I keep hearing “cyber” and “intel,” but I don’t know what that really means day-to-day, what the entry requirements are (ASVAB, clearance, etc.), or which roles are understaffed.
If you’ve got experience, I’d love to hear what units are short on people, what training pipelines are backed up, and what jobs give real skills without being total burnout. Not asking anyone to share sensitive stuff—just general career guidance.
