I’m trying to buy a truly professional-grade uniform setup (not costume stuff) for training events, range days, and some work-related tasks where we need a consistent, durable look. I’m not active duty, so I’m not asking for “what does X unit wear,” more like what holds up best in real use.
What matters to me: fabric that doesn’t melt or shred easily, stitching that survives crawling/kneeling, decent pocket layout, and a fit that doesn’t bind when moving. I’m also confused about terms like OCP/ACU cut, ripstop vs NYCO, FR options, and what brands are actually “issue-level” quality.
If you’ve got recommendations for field uniforms vs garrison uniforms (and what to avoid), I’d appreciate it. Also open to advice on boots/belt compatibility if it affects uniform choice.
