I’m trying to buy one truly professional-grade military watch instead of rotating cheap stuff that dies after a few months. I don’t need a “tacticool” fashion piece—more like something you’d trust for training, long field days, ruck marches, range work, and occasional travel.
Priorities: toughness (shock/water), legibility at night (not blinding), reliable timekeeping, easy strap swaps, and something that doesn’t snag on kit. I’m open to analog, digital, or hybrid. GPS is nice but not required if it kills battery life. Budget is flexible, but I’d rather pay once than keep replacing.
What are the best professional-grade military watches you’ve used or would recommend, and why? Any models to avoid?
