I’m trying to upgrade from a basic “boo-boo” first aid pouch to a professional-grade medical kit I can actually trust. Use case is mostly range days and vehicle carry, but I also do some hiking and volunteer event support. I’m not a medic, so I’m not trying to cosplay—just want something well-built, organized, and stocked with the right stuff.
When people say “professional-grade medical kit,” what brands/models are worth the money (IFAK-style vs a bigger trauma bag)? Also, what items should be included by default vs left out unless you’re trained? I see a lot of kits marketed as “tactical” that look like random Amazon fill. Looking for realistic recommendations and what to avoid.
