I’m trying to upgrade my hearing protection without spending a ton. I’m not doing anything high-speed—mostly indoor range days once or twice a month, plus the occasional outdoor shoot and some lawn equipment at home. I’ve been using cheap foam plugs and they’re fine, but I’m looking for something more comfortable and consistent, ideally under like $50 (or a bit more if it’s actually worth it).
Do you recommend budget earmuffs, reusable plugs, or doubling up? Also, any tips for getting a good seal with glasses/eye pro would help. I’m not asking for medical advice—just looking for real-world gear recommendations for affordable hearing protection that actually works.
