I’m trying to pick up 1–2 combat shirts without spending Crye money. Use-case is mostly range days, some outdoor training, and occasional work in hot weather. I’m not looking to cosplay—just want something that won’t fall apart, doesn’t trap heat under a plate carrier, and holds up to washing. I’m between “cheap but decent” surplus-style options and the newer budget tactical brands.
What are the best budget-friendly combat shirts right now, and what should I watch for (fabric blend, seams, sizing, IRR claims, etc.)? Also curious if anyone has a go-to pick under $60–$80 that’s actually comfortable.
