I’m training for a military-style fitness plan (running, rucks, calisthenics circuits) and I keep hearing different advice about hydration. Some people say “drink constantly,” others say “just drink when you’re thirsty.” I’m not trying to do anything extreme, but I do train early mornings and sometimes in warmer weather.
How important is hydration during training for performance and recovery? And for stuff like ruck marches, should I be thinking about electrolytes or just water? I’m looking for practical guidance that’s realistic, not bro-science.
