I keep seeing “information warfare” used as a catch-all term, but I’m trying to understand what it actually does in real conflicts. Is it mostly propaganda and social media noise, or does it change outcomes the way logistics, air power, or armor can?

Context: I’m not in the military, just trying to learn. Over the last couple years I’ve watched narratives swing fast online, and it’s hard to tell what’s organic vs coordinated.
