I understand the regular military has baseline fitness tests (run time, push-ups, sit-ups/planks, maybe a ruck depending on branch/job), but I keep hearing special forces standards are on another planet. What I can’t figure out is whether it’s just “higher numbers” on the same tests, or if the whole evaluation is different (rucking under load, water confidence, stress, sleep deprivation, team events, etc.).

For context: I’m not claiming I’m going SF-ready right now. I’m currently running a few times a week, doing calisthenics, and starting to ruck lightly.
