I keep seeing clips of Hell Week and highlight reels, and it’s hard to tell what’s real difficulty vs edited hype. I’m not in the military, but I’m thinking about the Navy and I’m curious about the SEAL path specifically.
How difficult is Navy SEAL training really for an average athletic person? Is it mostly about insane fitness, or is the mental side what actually breaks people? Also, what parts are the biggest “washout” points—BUD/S, the water stuff, injuries, sleep deprivation?
Not asking for secret info, just trying to understand the reality before I get too deep into the idea. If anyone’s been through similar pipelines or has useful context, I’d appreciate it.
