I’m training for a couple obstacle course events this year (think walls, rope climbs, monkey bars, carries, some running in between). I lift 3x/week and can run a 5K without dying, but I gas out fast when there’s grip stuff and crawling/low obstacles. Also, my shoulders get cranky after hanging work.
I’m not trying to be “operator,” I just want a realistic plan that gets me through the course faster and without getting hurt. What should a week of training look like? How much running vs strength vs grip? And any tips for recovery or preventing shoulder/elbow issues would be appreciated.
