I’m training for military-style fitness goals (running, rucks, push-ups/pull-ups) and I’ve hit that annoying phase where progress slows down. The first couple months felt like a straight climb, but now my run time barely moves, my pull-ups stall, and I’m starting to dread sessions because it feels like I’m grinding for nothing.
I’m not injured, just mentally stuck. I sleep okay, I try to eat decent, and I’m pretty consistent (4–5 days/week). I can still finish the workouts, but it’s like my brain doesn’t get the “reward” anymore. For those who’ve been through this, how do you stay motivated when progress slows? Any mindset tricks, ways to structure training, or accountability tactics that actually work?
