I’ve been following the news about anti-satellite tests, “space forces,” and all the talk about GPS jamming in recent conflicts. It got me wondering what people actually mean when they say “wars in space.” Do they mean ships and lasers like sci‑fi, or more like nations knocking out each other’s satellites and ground stations?
I’m not trying to be dramatic—just trying to understand what a realistic space conflict would look like in the next few decades. Would fighting in space even make sense compared to cyber/electronic warfare? And what would be the first things targeted: comms, navigation, early warning, or something else?
