I’m trying to get ready for military fitness standards but I don’t have access to a gym right now. I’m in a small apartment, working long hours, and the nearest gym is expensive and far. I can run outside and I have a backpack and some random stuff I can use as weight, but no barbell or machines.
My goals are pretty basic: improve push-ups, sit-ups/planks, pull-ups (I don’t have a bar), and my run time. I also keep hearing about rucking and carrying weight, but I’m not sure how to do it safely without going overboard.
Is it realistic to prepare for military fitness without a gym? If so, what would you prioritize week to week, and what common mistakes should I avoid?
