Can you build strength while improving endurance?

I’m trying to set up training that’s more “military useful” instead of just gym numbers. I can currently run 2 miles without dying but I’m not fast, and my lifts are decent (bench and squat are okay, nothing crazy). My problem is every time I push running volume, my strength stalls, and when I chase heavier lifts, my endurance feels like it drops fast.

Goal: be stronger and also have better endurance (rucking/running) at the same time. Is it actually possible to build strength while improving endurance, or do you have to pick one? If it’s possible, what does a realistic week look like without burning out? I’m not training for a specific selection right now, just want a solid baseline for military fitness.
